Creating consistent bowling ball motion is a lot easier then most bowlers think. Reaction is based on friction. Having the ball read the lane friction at the same spot on the lane is the key. Here is the problem most bowlers have. Their bowling ball reaches the friction at a different angle, with a inconsistent rev rate, or with a difference in ball speed. This is caused by "throwing" the bowling ball at their target. When you "throw" the ball at your target you increase the chances that you will redirect the ball at the point of release. This will cause variance in launch angle, target angle, rev rate, and ball speed. In order to have a consistent ball reaction it is important that the bowler "roll" the ball towards their target, trusting that the ball will have the proper reaction to hit the pocket. Don't focus too much on the end result of the ball reaction which is hitting the pins. Focus on the beginning, rolling the ball toward your target. Doing this will enable you to bowl well on any lane condition.
