Layout: Big Flip layout
Surface: Out of box (500; 1,500 Siaair Micro Pad; Rough Buff Finish)
Mph: 18
Rev:300
What I Was Looking For In This Ball Layout:
DV8 is an edgy new brand that does not hide the fact that they are here to impress bowlers with how their products perform. The Hell Raiser is their first high performance release and it is supposed to have a monster hook. I figured I would go ahead and stay pretty aggressive with the Hell Raiser to show what it can really do. I was looking for this ball to come raising hell from anywhere I threw the ball. This ball was released to be a monster on heavy oil but with the right release you can make it work on any condition!
What I Ended Up With in the Ball and Layout:
The first time I threw this ball, I instantly fell in love with it and it had the most hook I have seen in a while from a bowling ball. Pair this with the sick looks of this ball and you have yourself an instant favorite in the bowling center. This ball not only rolls great but looks awesome doing it. I am sure this ball will turn some heads as it goes down lane during league. It has for me! The first time I threw this ball for a set during practice and I didn't average anything below 235 since!
The coverstock on this ball is perfect for what the ball delivers. It gives you just enough grip to play the outside with high speeds but it also give you the chance to throw it from gutter to gutter and still get back to the pocket with more than enough momentum to shred the rack.
Throughout the night of bowling with this you will have to keep moving in from your original point because of how this ball absorbs the oil when rolling down the lanes. But hey you can sling it and it will look killer going down this lane! Buy one today at The Bowlers Edge and you won't be disappointed by the X's that are filling the screen!
