What I was looking for:
I was looking for a ball that would be my bench mark ball that I could pull out on any lane condition or at any house. This ball would be used for gaging if I would need my a different ball to throw on the lane condition present at the time. There has been a flood of great mid-performance balls in the market and they tend to get drowned out by the high-performance balls. I was looking for this ball to have a wide variety of playing angles and to get through the heads of the lane without checking up too soon.
What I ended up with:
This is by far probably my favorite of the DV8 line. I love all the balls but this ball did exactly what I wanted it to do. It allowed me to play far left and open up the left side of the lane. If you are right handed then you could stand right and open up that side of the lane and create a massive amount of power toward the pins.
The way this ball handled the heads really amazed me. It glided through the heads with an ease that I have seen storm mid-performance balls do and that is a very good thing. This ball didn't skid past my break point and even recovered if I slightly missed right of target.
Overall this ball is a great ball for its price. You get a mid-performance price for a ball that performs like a high end product. You will be loving house shots with this but will also be able to hold your own in tournament shots or other conditions. You will love watching this ball roll down the lane and don't be surprised when people stop to watch you bowl.
